The Geneva Chamber of Commerce and the Office of Industrial Promotion (OPI) have awarded Franck Muller Watchland SA for its remarkable achievements as a manufacturer.
On October 9, 2008, Jean-Luc Favre, president of the OPI jury bestowed the "Prix de l'Industrie" award to Vartan Sirmakes, co-founder and CEO of the Franck Muller Group, and Nicholas Rudaz, General Manager of the Franck Muller Group.
The Prix de l'Industrie award was introduced by the City of Geneva in 1985 as a way to recognize and encourage the city's manufacturers who have managed to achieve the highest levels of innovation.
Franck Muller Group holds altogether fourteen production sites, and the majority of the sites have headquarters in Geneva, employing more than 1,000 people. The Franck Muller watch brand was given birth less than seventeen years ago, having highlighted its existence by over fifty patents received for a variety of innovations in watchmaking.
According to Vartan Sirmakes, they are really pleased to get the award as a sign of recognition of the hard work performed by a strong team over the time of the brand's existence. The Franck Muller Group is inspired for implementation of new strategies that will be incorporated over the next few years. Being strongly committed to Geneva, the brand will maintain its focus on the production of products reflecting the heritage of Swiss watchmaking and are one hundred percent Swiss made.
