Andy Roddick Wears Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date is one of the favorite watches of Andy Roddick.

The case of the chronometer is crafted in 18-K white gold and measures 36 mm in diameter. The case construction incorporates domed bezel and is 30-meter water-resistant. The Rolex watch goes on an oyster bracelet.

The dial is embellished with a blue-wave pattern. It features Arabic numerals, big day display and Rolex logo at 12 o'clock. The date display is found at 3 o'clock, while the 'Swiss made' logo is found at 6 o'clock.

This Rolex series received 'Day-Date' name as it became the first watch in the world to display the fully spelt-out day of the week and the date.

Andy Roddick is an American professional tennis player. The tennis star, ranked among the top players in the world, was born on August 30, 1982. He gained victory at the Grand Slam title at the 2003 US Open. Andy has also reached three other Grand Slam finals - Wimbledon twice and US Open. Roddick proudly holds the fastest tennis serve record, clocked at 155 mph (249.4 km/h). He reached the record on September 27, 2004 in Davis Cup Semifinal, having beat Vladimir Voltchkov, so the US took 2-0 lead over Belarus.
