Ballon bleu de Cartier Flying Tourbillon with the Geneva Seal

May 14, 2008
The Ballon bleu de Cartier Flying Tourbillon watch has become the first timekeeping creation of the brand crowned by the prestigious Geneva Seal hallmark.

The watch, a true instrument of High Watchmaking, features a 46 mm 18K pink gold case with the outstanding cabochon and profiled refinement.

The heart of the Cartier watch is 9452 MC caliber, an exceptional manufacture-crafted mechanical tourbillon movement with manual winding. The tourbillon on the Ballon bleu de Cartier watch has been designed with irresistible aesthetic appeal. The tourbillon carriage seems to 'fly' over the bridges and to float freely above the dial.

The slate-colored guilloche dial reveals a sun-ray open-worked grid with Roman numerals. It is completed with sword-shaped, blued-steel hands. The watch embraces the wrist with a brown alligator strap fitted with dual adjustment folding clasp.
