RM 020 Tourbillon Pocket Watch from Richard Mille

Mar 27, 2008
The Richard Mille RM 020 has become the first ever pocket watch that incorporated a non-metallic movement plate produced from carbon nanofiber, the material initially applied in U.S. Air force jets, and characterized by high mechanical, physical and chemical stability. It is ideal for providing the stability of the going train under different conditions and temperatures.

The tourbillon escapement is driven by a double winding barrel. Both barrels are directly engaged to supply about 10-day power reserve.

The RM 020 goes on a titanium watch chain fitted with a quick attach/release mechanism. With the additional desk stand, it is transformed into a pendulette de bureau.

The face of the watch looks really strange to me! and legibility is zero.. still, eye-paralyzing!

Richard Mille watches may seem somewhat pricey but their unique style and useful functions are worth it. Solid construction and excellent mechanism, really eye-catching face, sporty yet elegant appeal
