Eterna Kontiki Anniversary

Mar 11, 2008
Eterna is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the KonTiki model that accompanied explorer Thor Heyerdahl during his expedition in the Pacific. The dial reveals the outline of the Raroia atoll, destination of the expedition. The cross-stitching on the strap echoes the ropes used to build the KonTiki raft that inherited its name after the sun god.

The Eterna Kontiki Anniversary is developed in a limited edition of 50 pieces. The watch is equipped with an automatic movement - Eterna 3010 calibre. The 40 mm case is crafted in polished and satin-finished 18K pink gold. The functions of the watch are the following: hours, minutes, seconds and date. The screw-down back features KonTiki medallion

Eterna Kontiki GMT
is the best traveller watch. Showing another timezone, date and being waterproof it is perfect.

What a beauty! It is a shame that Eterna will only make 50 of them.

Looking at Eterna watches, I remember as an old Swiss friend told me that we look at our watches 30 - 100 times a day - why not wear a true beauty (he owned a Patek Philippe skeleton). You may even consider it a 20-year investment.
