To commemorate the vehicle's anniversary, Land Rover has produced the strictly limited, special-edition of 40 Range Rovers. The vehicles went on sale in summer, 2007. The price of the model makes up 145,000 US dollars. This is the highest MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) ever registered in the US market for a serially manufactured SUV (sport utility vehicle).
It is not by chance Land Rover asked namely the Kobold Company to design the clock and wristwatches specially for its 20th Anniversary Edition Range Rover. Kobold watches are characterized by rugged design and supreme durability. Moreover, the cooperation between the two brands was strengthened by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the famous British explorer and the brands' ambassador.

Land Rover also commissioned the watchmaking company to produce a range of Land Rover-branded watches, available exquisitely to celebrated retailers and senior Land Rover executives.
The Kobold Watch Company, an American watch manufacture, joined the horology world in 1999, founded by then-19-year-old Michael Kobold. The young and energetic founder of the company personally designs every Kobold watch and ensures that every single model meets his personal expectations of quality. With no more than 2,500 watches annually made, the Kobold Company develops its timepieces from the durable materials while applying finest craftsmanship.
Kobold watches are characterized by accuracy, subtle lines and superior quality. The timepieces, equipped with a mechanical movement, incorporate such innovative for watchmaking materials as aerospace-grade titanium, surgical stainless steel and scratchproof sapphire crystal.
The majority of the brand's timekeeping creations are aimed to be used by active professionals and rugged individuals - these are watches for divers, explorers, NASA test pilots, field scientists and military operatives. Since 2002, the timepieces developed by the company have been worn on more polar expeditions than any other wristwatch.
