Chanel J12 Elegant Watch for Globetrotters

Chanel has recently enlarged its iconic J12 line with the brand's first automatic GMT watch. The timepiece simultaneously displays the time in two different time zones. The J12 GMT is entirely crafted from unalterable black ceramic. The new ultra-flat case design and the large dial make the GMT watch look chic and sporty.

The main dial of the Chanel J12 watch shows the local time in the time zone the watch's owner finds himself at the moment, while the 24-hour calibrated bezel and the additional GMT hour-hand are used for showing the traveler's home time. The hands and indexes of the Chanel watch are Superluminova-coated and phosphorescent in the dark.

The Chanel J12 GMT has only one crown for adjusting all its functions, including both time zones and the date. The timepiece provides great comfort of wearing as its ultra-flat case, 42mm in diameter, is just 10mm thick. Compare it to the Chanel J12 Chronograph that is 14mm thick. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal of the traveler's watch is provided with anti-reflective treatment. The timepiece is 100-meter water-resistant.

The Chanel watch-makers opted for the black ceramic to produce the case from as the material is highly resistant to scratches, stain-resistant, and structurally stable. The ceramic is widely used in advanced high-tech industries as it boasts hardness factor of 9, following diamonds with 10.

In the heart of the Chanel watch there beats a Swiss automatic movement developed at the Chanel watch workshops located in la Chaux-de-Fonds. The mechanism with the frequency of 28 800 alternations per hour, provides 42-Hour power reserve.

To give the feeling of ergonomic perfection, the Chanel J12 watch's bracelet is equipped with a newly developed thinner and shorter automatic triple-folding buckle.
