de Grisogono Instrumento Novantatre - Complicated Timekeeping Beauty

Sep 12, 2007
The new de Grisogono Instrumento Novantatre has completed the brand's range of watches with one more type of a horological complication - the annual calendar.

The first peculiarity that immediately attracts attention when you drop a look on the dial of the Instrumento Novantatre is the unusually positioned pair of dial openings. These small-sized arced windows are featured at 12 and 8 o'clock, displaying the date and the month. The hours and minutes hands are traditionally placed in the center, while the seconds are shown on a sub-dial found at 5 o'clock.

In the heart of the de Grisogono Instrumento Novantatre there beats a self-winding mechanical movement. The mechanism represents a complex construction that automatically takes account of 30-day and 31-day months.

To be able to house the complicated mechanism, Fawaz Gruosi created a one-of-a-kind watch case. It is characterized by a sporty design distinguished due to its broad dial aperture. The case of the Instrumento Novantatre sports generous dimensions - 47.2 x 40 mm. Its sizable lugs with rounded and cambered lines perfectly reflect the boldly innovative de Grisogono watch style and spirit.

Real watch connoisseurs will surely appreciate meticulous attention to every detail. Here are the de Grisogono Instrumento Novantatre's distinctive features revealed by the three-level dial:
  • a winding crown embellished by the de Grisogono crest
  • the seconds sub-dial with an original snail-pattern finish
  • velvety opaline minute track placed on a separate dial level
  • the rest of the dial surface decorated with a radiating guilloche pattern
  • the oversized de Grisogono hour figures.

The de Grisogono Instrumento Novantatre offers the choice between a gold and steel version, optionally with gemstones. The timepiece has been developed both for ladies and gentlemen. You will also notice the corporate crest featured by the curved sapphire case back that opens the exclusive view of the workings of the movement and its oscillating weight, that are PVD-blackened, an exclusive de Grisogono decorative element.

The de Grisogono watch is secured to the wrist with help of an alligator or galuchat strap equipped with a deployment clasp matching the case. The strap is linked the case by articulated lugs, thus providing both perfect wearing comfort and really appealing looks.
