CX Swiss Military Watch is understandably proud to unveil its new Hurricane watch. Mind-blowing as it is, this novelty is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the legendary fight between the German Luftware and the RAF, the Royal Air Force.
The RAF’s Hurricane used to be a reliable battle-plane of the British Air Force during the World War II. It concentrated on the bombers and ensured the majority of RAF victories within that tough period.
Strictly limited to 200 pieces, the eponymous timepiece by CX Swiss Military Watch evokes the courage of pilots, who fought at the wheel of the plane, which was never known to fail.
The new horological creation is available with a solid stainless steel case, treated with a black DLC coating. It is 17.00 mm thick and boasts a diameter of 47.00 mm.
The Hurricane watch is framed by a bi-directional circular slide-rule bezel, featuring Superluminova-applied indices. The case is also equipped with an oversized screw-down crown and pushers. The last-mentioned elements reveal red safety markings, visible when unscrewed. The screw-down case-back of the CX Swiss Military watch is embossed with a limited edition engraving. The watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters.
At the heart of the new timepiece is beating a COSC-certified self-winding ETA chronograph movement - caliber 7750 Valjoux. Incorporating 25 jewels, the mechanism comprises a Glucydur balance bridge as well as a Nivaflex mainspring.
It is also endowed with the Antichoc system, which incorporates the Incabloc shock-absorber. Moreover, this caliber is outfitted with the Etachron regulator system. The movement oscillates at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 48-hour power reserve.
The timepiece by CX Swiss Military Watch boasts an alluring dial, performed in silver, black, arctic blue or RAF red. The display exposes indices, tipped with a coat of Superluminova, which guarantees exceptional night-time visibility. They are kept company by hands, also highlighted with Superluminova. All chronograph hands are dressed in red.
Alongside with hours and minutes, the dial also indicates small seconds in a propeller-shaped counter located at 9 o’clock. It is joined by a chronograph with a 30-minute counter, positioned at 12 o’clock as well as a date indication arranged at 3 o’clock. The 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock ensures the overall equilibrium of the watch. Protecting the dial is a glare-proofed sapphire crystal.
The new CX Swiss Military Hurricane pilot watch is secured to the wearer’s wrist on a genuine Swiss-made nano-tech leather strap, finalized by a black DLC-plated buckle.
