The prominent company Hublot has recently unveiled its new brainchild, the King Power Alinghi watch, which strengthens the brand’s partnership with the Alinghi sailing team. The Swiss Alinghi team represents the Defender of the 33rd America's Cup.

The Hublot King Power Alinghi watch is available with a microblastered black ceramic case, which measures 48mm in diameter. The watch bezel, sculptured from the same material and covered with moulded black rubber, is secured by 6 relief black PVD-treated H-shaped titanium screws. The bezel lugs and lateral inserts are manufactured from black composite resin.

The watch case is also fitted with a crown and push-pieces, sculptured in black PVD-treated titanium with black rubber inserts. On its front side the case is armed with a sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating, which reveals a mechanical beauty, beating at the heart of the new Hublot watch. read more

A collaborative project between the famous watchmaker Hublot and the American skier Bode Miller, the "Bode Bang" watch, was unveiled on December 9, in the city of New York.

Bode Miller, who became the world champion in all disciplines in 2008, is now very delighted to own a Big Bang watch that bears his name. The renowned watch company and the legendary champion entered into a partnership, when Bode Miller visited the manufacture’s ateliers in order to have a photo shoot for the Kjus catalogue. Enchanted by the brand’s advanced technologies and craftsmen’s skills, he came up with the idea of producing his own timepiece.

The “Bode Bang” watch comes with a 44.5-mm case, sculptured in sandblasted black ceramic. It is fitted with a bezel, manufactured from the same material and secured by 6 H-shaped steel black PVD-treated screws. read more

The AIDES Foundation is the main French organization, involved in fighting AIDS: it carries out preventive measures and assists people, affected by the HIV virus.

The Hublot Research & Development department is proud to reveal its new noteworthy creation - the UNICO movement. The chronograph movement, developed independently by Hublot, is presently found in its “functional prototype” stage until the end of this year. It is assembled from 330 components.

The UNICO movement is meant to animate the latest Hublot watch named King Power. At the moment, the Hublot watchmakers are producing bridges, main plates and assorted steel components for the movement. Hublot intends to produce 2,000 UNICO movements in 2010, and approximately 20,000 movements in the medium term.

The flyback chronograph stands out due to the position of its mechanism and the renowned “column wheel” on the side of the dial. The list of major innovations is highlighted by the removable platform escapement, so the watch owner may have his initials engraved on it. read more

The renowned watchmaking house Hublot has recently moved into a new building, which is currently housing both ateliers and offices of the brand. To mark this important step, which signifies a giant leap in the company’s development, the Hublot management has arranged an official celebration.

As suggested by the brand’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver, the opening ceremony is to be overseen by the LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault together with Philippe Pascal, President of the LVMH Timepieces and Jewellery division. This festive event will see the attendance of various celebrities, friends of the company, and important figures from the local authorities, as well as press representatives.

It took the company two years to complete the building, which sprawls out to cover 6,000 m2 and is designed to house 300 employees. Jean-Claude Biver is proudly stating the fact that the new Hublot manufacture is already running at full capacity. Bruno Senna, a young talented driver, has recently been appointed an ambassador for the Hublot brand. In 2010, the sportsman will join the Campos Meta team to take part in the F1 motor racing competition. Bruno earned his fame, conquering the GP2 circuits in 2008: he was ultimately conferred a title of the 2nd place winner.

Hublot made the acquaintance with the outstanding driver two years ago, when entering into a close partnership with the Ayrton Senna Institute, a foundation created and headed by his mother Viviane, who happened to be a sister of the late Ayrton Senna. At that time Bruno was already a very active sportsman, willing to reach new heights in motor racing. Since then, Hublot and Bruno Sienna have been enjoying a close bond of trust and friendship.

The gifted driver’s ambitions pushed him to participate in racing the F1 circuits. Therefore, he has become a member of the Spanish Campos Meta team. A worthy representative of the brand, Bruno embodies high standards, dynamism and excellence – the values deeply cherished by Hublot.
