Hublot Launches F1 King Power Suzuka Watch

Oct 07, 2011
Hublot proudly delivers its new F1 King Power Suzuka watch, which pays tribute to the legendary Japanese circuit. It captures attention with its red and white color combination, encouraged by the Japanese flag.

Released in a limited series of 250 pieces, the new Hublot watch employs a 48mm zirconium case. The model sports a circular-grained satin finished bezel, made of zirconium and black ceramic. It boasts a multitude of holes, which bring to mind a high-performance brake disc. The bezel is bolted down to the case with 6 H-shaped screws.

The new Hublot F1 King Power Suzuka watch shows off a balanced dial. Completed with applied hour-markers and contrasting minute graduation, it tells central hours and minutes, indicated by large skeletonized hands. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 9 oclock.

The chronograph features are assured through a 30-minute sub-dial at 3 oclock, a 12-hour counter at 6 oclock as well as a central seconds hand, fitted with an H-shaped counterweight. All the sub-dials are fitted with skeletonized hands. The date indication is arranged in an aperture between 4 and 5 oclock. The functions are driven by an automatic mechanical movement.

The new Hublot watch goes on a strap, created from rubber and Nomex. The latter is a synthetic fibre, developed by Dupont De Nemours and employed in manufacturing of race suits for F1 drivers.
