Hublot has joined the stream of limited edition models by issuing its new F1 King Power Interlagos watch. It is dedicated to the Formula 1 Grande Premio Petrobras do Brasil 2011 competition - the last Grand Prix of this season’s FIA Formula One World Championship.
The new Hublot watch is touched with nuances in cobalt blue - a color, which matches the shade of the center of the Brazilian national flag. It is delivered in a 48mm carbon fiber case.
The model carries a ceramic bezel with a circular finish and holes, which bring to mind high-performance brake discs. The bezel is fixed to the case with 6 H-shaped screws. The water-resistance of the timekeeper is assured down to 100 meters.
The new Hublot F1 King Power Interlagos watch is complimented by a matt black dial. It is endowed with black nickel indexes, highlighted by blue Superluminova compound. The display indicates central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 9 o’clock.
The chronograph functionality is provided by a 30-minute sub-dial at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock as well as a central seconds hand with an H-shaped counterweight. The date appears in an aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The display is controlled by a manufactory-made automatic mechanical HUB4100 chronograph movement. It supplies a 42-hour power reserve.
Keeping the new Hublot watch secured to the wearer’s wrist is an adjustable black rubber and hornback alligator leather strap with blue stitching. The release of the model is restricted to 250 pieces.
