Sep 21, 2011
By launching its new Classic Fusion Chronograph Yacht Club de Monaco watch, Hublot has offered a worthy homage to the Yacht Club de Monaco and commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Monaco Classic Week, which took place from the 14th to the 18th September, 2011.

Influenced by the sea, the new Hublot watch is issued in a limited series of 250 pieces. It is executed in a 45mm "Classic Fusion" case, crafted from titanium with satin-finished end-pieces. The model carries a satin-finished titanium bezel, bolted down to the case with 6 H-shaped countersunk, polished and locked screws. Embossed with the brand’s logo, the winding crown at 3 o’clock is made of polished titanium. The same material is employed in manufacturing of chronograph push-buttons.

The front side of the timepiece is covered by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The case-back, made of satin-finished titanium, is also fitted with a sapphire crystal with internal glare-proofed treatment. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 50 meters.

The new Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Yacht Club de Monaco watch is complimented by a navy blue dial. Equipped with silver-plated appliques, it ensures central hours and minutes, indicated by faceted, diamond-polished, skeleton, rhodium-plated hands.

The small seconds tick away in a counter at 3 o’clock. Set within the dial are also a 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock and a chronograph central hand with the H-shaped counterweight. Below the arbor the user can see the exclusive colors of the Yacht Club de Monaco. The date indication is arranged in an aperture at 6 o’clock.

All the functions are brought to life by an automatic mechanical HUB 1143 chronograph movement. It comprises 280 individual parts, including 59 rubies. The caliber incorporates an oscillating weight in tungsten carbide with black PVD-treated dimpled surface; satin-finished, bevelled and polished bridges, black PVD-treated screws and a Glucydur hairspring. The movement supplies a 42-hour power reserve.

The new Hublot watch is accompanied by a navy blue gummy alligator leather strap stitched onto a black rubber. The strap joins to a steel deployant buckle.
