Jul 31, 2008
The new Hublot 'Big Bang REAL CLUB NAUTICO DE PALMA' has been created exclusively for the prestigious sailing club, having inherited all the distinctive features of the famous Hublot watches - the one-of-a-kind-design, combination of precious materials and comfort of natural rubber.

The Hublot Company has been the privileged partner of the Sailing Club for three years, having served as an official timekeeper for a number of sailing events in the Mediterranean. The Big Bang Real Club Nautico de Palma chronograph with the colors of the RCNP has been unveiled to mark the occasion of the renowned 'Copa del Rey'.

The Big Bang RCNP is an elegantly sporty watch, making one feel its nautical spirit through such details as the carbon side dial and the Real Club emblem. The timepiece is destined to serve as official timekeeper of the marine tournament attracting the representatives of the world of sailing in the Mediterranean in summer.

The Hublot Big Bang RCNP, based on the Hublot 'Fusion' concept, reveals a 44.5 mm stainless steel case.

The case construction comprises a black ceramic bezel with 6 H-shaped titanium screws, black composite resin bezel lugs and side inserts, as well as steel crown and push-pieces featuring natural black rubber inserts.

The face of the watch is protected with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflection treatment. The titanium case back has also incorporated a sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflection treatment.

The Hublot watch is coupled with the characteristic Hublot natural smooth black rubber strap. It is 100-meter water-resistant.

The carbon dial of the Hublot watch, completed with rhodium-plated applique indices, features sporty red accents, including a red RCNP logo positioned at 9 o'clock. The faceted rhodium-plated hands of the watch are provided with white luminescent coating, while a chronograph hand is accentuated in red and features an H counterweight. The small trapezoid date aperture is found at 4:30.

The timepiece is equipped with the HUB44 caliber, a self-winding movement that offers the chronograph functions and the date display. The mechanism has been developed by Hublot in cooperation with La Joux-Perret. The movement is fitted with a massive tungsten rotor, providing an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve.

The Hublot Big Bang RCNP watch will be available in a limited edition of 250 individually numbered pieces.
