Within the
Hermes philosophy, the conception of a timepiece is governed by the following essential criteria: functionality, precision and aesthetic sophistication. The
new Arceau Pocket "Duc Attele" watch is a perfect illustration of this approach. This horological marvel is a collaborative project between the company’s peerless craftsmen and the master-engraver.
The master-engraver sculpted a horseman and his mount from a block of
natural mother-of-pearl. Afterwards, he placed this piece of art on a
polished petrified wood, offering the public a perfect opportunity to admire the fascinating landscape of this mineral within the structure of the watch dial.
The display of the new Hermes watch comprises refined hour-markers as well as hour and minutes hands, gliding over them. The dial is shielded by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for the back side of the timepiece.

The house of
Hermes has pleasantly surprised its ardent admirers by the release of its unique watch, christened
Arceau Petits Chevaux. Painted by hand, the new Hermes watch is proposed with a
white gold case. It is equipped with a graceful winding crown, located at 3 o’clock. The
water-resistance of the timepiece is assured down to
30 meters.
The case is complimented by an amazing dial. It proudly reveals the artfully arranged images of horses. They are enameled in stages, utilizing a special technique, called
“champleve”. It involves filling tiny cavities in the metal with brilliant color.
The display of the
new Arceau Petits Chevaux watch whispers the time through hours and minutes, indicated by the delicate white hands. The dial is liberated from hour and minute-markers in order not to distract attention from the noble animals.
