The new Hautlence watch borrows most of its characteristic elements from the brand’s iconic HL collection. These features include jumping hours and retrograde minutes, complimented by an instantaneous date. The functions are housed in an emblematic 44mm case.
The case is interpreted in several versions: 18-carat white gold (HLQ 01 Classic), 18-carat rose gold and titanium (HLQ 05 Classic), 18-carat rose gold (HLQ 06 Classic) and titanium (HLQ 07 Classic and HLQ 08 Classic). The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters.
At 3 o’clock, the model reveals a polished 18-karat rose-gold crown, marked with the brand’s logo. The top of the case is covered by a sapphire crystal with angled edges and multi-layered anti-reflective treatment. The timepiece also features a screwed sapphire case-back. It is embossed with stamps and officials engravings - “Hautlence” and “Horlogerie Suisse”.
Beating at the heart of the new Hautlence HLQ Classic watch is a hand-wound mechanical movement - the second caliber, developed in the brand’s workshops. Its decorative elements include a Cotes-de-Geneve finish and hand-angled bridges.
The caliber comprises 220 individual parts with 32 jewels among them. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 40-hour power reserve.
The movement also utilizes a gear train with a sector development, coupled with a calibrated micrometric toothed gear which cooperates with the minute hand axis.
The jumping hours and retrograde minutes are governed by the ingenious HL patented mechanism. The date is adjusted by means of an instantaneous corrector, located between the lugs at 12 o’clock.
All the functions appear on a brown opalin dial. It features micro-machined overlapped hour and minute displays. The polished gold hands on the counters are laser-cut. The highlight of the watch face is a Superluminova arrow.
Offered in a limited edition of 88 pieces, the new Hautlence watch is coupled with a hand-sewn brown genuine Louisiana alligator leather strap with square scales. It joins to a pin or folding buckle in 18-carat rose gold.
The model is delivered in a Makassar ebony wood box. It contains an identification and numbering plate, a special leather travel box, a watchmaker’s magnifying glass, an instruction booklet as well as a 3-year warranty card.
