This year, the collection welcomes a new exclusive watch limited to just 20 pieces. Histoire de Tourbillon 2 watch boasts an ingenious construction and incorporates a bi-axial flying tourbillon.

The design peculiarity is that all the displays are found in independent offset sub-dials. The tourbillon along with running seconds is positioned at 9 o’clock, the hours with day/night indications at 2 o’clock and the minutes at 6 o’clock. The case construction is smartly partitioned, thus forming several different levels.

The new Harry Winston watch is delivered in a 39mm pink gold case. Its thickness is equal to 12.3 mm. The case is skillfully enhanced with 143 brilliant cut diamonds, totaling to 3.8 carats.

To mark the occasion there was arranged an exclusive cocktail party with the actress Freida Pinto as its hostess. The celebration took place on Sunday, September 13th, 2009.

This festive event saw the attendance of such celebrities as Gerard Butler, actor; Jennifer Esposito, actress; Jason Wu, designer; Astrid Munos, model; Oluchi Onweagba, model and Ryan Lochte, Olympic swimmer. Harry Winston Opus 9 has smartly united technical innovation with the top-quality diamonds, demonstrating linear driven time captured in diamonds.

Opus 9 uses diamonds not simply as decorative elements. They are used as the functional element of time- telling. The groundbreaking timepiece shows the time with help of two parallel diamond chains. Each chain sparkles with 33 baguette-cut diamonds. Each chain features a vivid mandarin garnet indicating the hours on the left side of the dial and the minutes on the right side.
