Oct 06, 2010
The world-renowned watchmaker Ulysse Nardin is proud to present a new mind-blowing addition to its acclaimed Marine Collection.

The new Hammerhead Shark Limited Edition Maxi Marine Diver Titanium watch pays tribute to the brand’s nautical history and sings an ode to the ocean’s magnificent creatures.

As a symbol of the line in question, the hammerhead shark was a natural choice. Similar to this amazing fish, which for centuries has navigated the oceans with a particular accuracy, Ulysse Nardin’s marine chronometers have long served as unrivalled guides for sailors.

As the name of the new Ulysse Nardin watch suggests, it is clothed in an imposing high-grade polished 18-karat gold and titanium case.

The public can also enjoy a titanium and steel variation. The versions of the timekeeper have been issued in limited series of 350 and 999 pieces respectively.

Individually numbered, the watch case boasts a diameter of 45 mm. It is artfully engraved with the image of the aforementioned hammerhead shark. The company’s esteemed specialists have also fitted the timekeeper with a screw-down security crown, located at 3 o’clock. The model handles depths of up to 200 meters.

The case is outlined by an eye-pleasing unidirectional rotating bezel, crafted from 18 ct rose gold or stainless steel. It holds securely a high quality glare-proofed sapphire crystal.

Beneath the glass mentioned is an alluring dial. It is completed with white-painted luminious hour-markers, standing out against a blue background. The display whispers the time through centrally indicated hours and minutes as well as small seconds, ticking away in the counter at 6 o’clock.

The last-mentioned sub-dial also offers a date indication, arranged in a round aperture. The design of the dial is visually balanced by a power reserve indicator, positioned at 12 o’clock.

The face of the watch features half transparent hands, performed in white and blue. The power reserve display, meanwhile, is equipped with an eye-catching red hand.

The functions, provided by the Hammerhead Shark Limited Edition Maxi Marine Diver Titanium watch, are driven by a self-winding Caliber UN-26 movement. Boasting a power reserve of 42 hours, this mechanism can be admired through a sapphire crystal case-back.

Sporty and rugged, the Ulysse Nardin diver’s watch is mounted on an exclusive rubber strap, embellished with 18 ct gold or titanium elements. Alternatively, it can be accompanied by a metal bracelet.

The timepiece totally meets the utilitarian needs that arise when exploring the ocean.
