You will probably be surprised to find out that the ODC X-02 Quartz watch has already been featured in a Hollywood movie as its design was based on the watch Hamilton created for Stanley Kubrick’s movie in 1966, titled “2001: A Space Odyssey”.Each dial is provided with a valve-like pusher at the top to allow independent time setting in each of three time zones. From the side, the pushers look like miniature telescopes featuring easy-to-grip tips. Each dial is protected by its own curved sapphire crystal.
The ODC X-02 Quartz is available in two versions - with a plain titanium case or a black PVD-coated titanium case. The angular outline contrasts with soft curves of the framework that supports the crystals. The is 50-meter water-resistant.
The futuristic Hamilton watch is secured to the wrist on a smooth black rubber strap fitted with a metal buckle. It will be available in a limited number of just 1,000 pieces.
As watches.infoniac.com has been informed, the timepiece is expected to be launched in September 2009. The price of the watch will be around 1750 US dollars.
