The new Khaki BASE Jump line comprises two major models - the Khaki BASE Jump Auto chrono and the Khaki BASE Jump Automatic. The timepieces are expected to be launched in September 2009.
The new Hamilton watches accommodate high-precision Swiss movements. The automatic version is equipped with a 2824 ETA-movement, while the automatic chronograph version - with a 7750 movement.
Both models demonstrate a bold oversized case, 50 mm in diameter. The case of the automatic watch is crafted from stainless steel with PVD-black or PVD-bronze surface, while the case of the chronograph timepiece
is crafted from titanium, also PVD-black or PVD-bronze. Both models boast 100-meter water-resistance.
The case construction incorporates a well-protected crown, originally located on the left-hand side of the watch to offer comfortable use in extreme conditions. The outer edge of the bezel features an easy-grip finish.
The zest of the Khaki BASE Jump Auto Chrono is the turning bezel that is developed to be used for the chronograph activation, while the turning bezel of the Khaki BASE Jump Automatic is used for an original bi-directional countdown.
Both models have either a black or a bronze dial matching the color of the case. The center of the highly-legible dial is adorned with a ‘Clous de Paris’ pattern. The face of the watches is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The new Hamilton Khaki BASE Jump watches are coupled with a matching strap - a sporty black rubber strap or a more elegant brown leather strap.
The chronograph version will be available for about 1945 US dollars, while the price of the automatic version will be around 1195 US dollars.
