Hermes unveils its new timepiece - the
H-our watch, inspired by the design introduced in 1996 by Philippe Mouquet.
The
Hermes novelty has maintained an
H-shaped case of the initial version, having acquired a freshly designed dial. The Arabic numerals offer a highly readable, more graphic style and are positioned to face the center of the dial. The timepiece is also available in jewelry variations, with diamonds marking the hours and the diamond-paved bezel. The time is shown by dagger-like hands.
The case of the H-our watch is crafted from steel. It is available in three sizes - 21 x 21 mm, 26 x 26 mm and 32,2 x 32,2 mm. The face of the watch is protected by a glare-proof sapphire crystal.
Men may enjoy a
mechanical self-winding version of the Hermes H-our watch. It stands out from the
quartz versions due to the date display and the seconds hand. The latter catches the glance by its original design, with its base repeating the shape of the case lugs.
The
new Hermes H-our watch will be delivered with a simple tool to allow its owner to
easily change the straps. Those interested will be able to choose between the common alligator and calfskin straps and a wide range of Jacquard woven silk straps demonstrating a herringbone motif in a combination of navy blue and black, bright red and Hermes red, etoupe and ebony, ecru and dark beige.
