Gustafsson and Sjogren Stockholm Watch - Purity and Elegance

Mar 07, 2011
By launching its new Stockholm watch, the Swedish brand Gustafsson & Sjogren (GoS) joins the stream of limited edition models.

Purity and elegance are two qualities that have become inseparably bound up with the new Gustafsson & Sjogren watch. The issue of the novelty is strictly limited to 5 timepieces: 4 pieces come equipped with a mother-of-pearl dial and just one piece boasts a dial in blue Lapis Lazuli with small gold pyrites.

On the surface of the dial, the time is reduced to indicating just hours and minutes. Taking care of them are spear-shaped hands, crafted from hand-forged Damascus steel. They cohabit harmoniously with a file-worked and polished index ring, rendered in the same material. The functions are operated through an 8 mm winding crown in fine-grained Damascus stainless steel.

The new Stockholm watch features the dimensions of 42mm x 10mm. All high-gloss polished, the case is marked with the brands logo on its side. The top of the model is protected by a flat sapphire glass. At the heart of the case is beating a Swiss made hand-wound Alpina 592R movement.

The new Gustafsson & Sjogren watch is mounted on a hand-crafted Louisiana alligator leather strap. The model is delivered in a presentation box, individually crafted in Svepask technique.
