Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Italico Watch - Combination of Tradition and Nobility

May 05, 2011
In 2011, the iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch celebrates its 80th anniversary. This year is also of special importance to Italy, celebrating the 150th anniversary of its Unification.

To mark the occasions, the watchmaking company has created an exclusive limited edition Reverso watch destined for the Italian market the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Italico watch. The timepiece is available in two variations - in a steel version limited to 150 pieces, and in a pink gold version limited to 50 pieces.

The dial of the special edition watch is worth special attention. You will notice that the 8 o'clock numeral is replaced with the letter R in red, with the word REVERSO serving as the stem of the letter.

It is interesting to mention that the letter R was used in the Roman alphabet for the number octoginta, implying 80. The red details on the dial have been inspired by the exclusive limited edition timepieces aimed at the Italian market the Master Ultra Thin Italico and Reverso 976 Italico watches.

The clear dial of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Italico watch is embellished with a vertical guilloche pattern, elegant Arabic numerals, and fine blued hands, having maintained the aesthetic peculiarities of the Reverso collection.

The new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is animated by an extremely fine movement - the Calibre 822 that is just 2.94 mm thick. The movement animates the thinnest ever Reverso model introduced. The ultra-thin watch is superbly light and comfortable on the wrist.
