Lovers of fine timepieces will be delighted to discover the new Grand Tourbillon XP Ronde d’Or watch, manufactured by Ateliers de Monaco.
The breathtaking novelty employs a round-shaped 43 mm case, composed of 31 individual parts. The core of the case is sculptured in titanium, characterized by extreme lightness. Its curved side panels, meanwhile, are rendered in 18K white gold.
The case of the new Ateliers de Monaco watch is brushed, polished and assembled by hand. It is framed by a bezel, sculptured in white gold. On its front side, the case is assembled with a sapphire crystal with multi-layered glare-proofed treatment.
Beneath this top quality glass is an alluring dark grey dial, done in onyx and mother-of-pearl.
It reveals an hour ring with deMonaco formed index markers. Traveling over them are 18K gold hands. The display also comprises an applied hour index ring. The undeniable highlight of the dial is the Tourbillon opening, presented at 6 o’clock.
The brand’s qualified specialists have equipped the new Grand Tourbillon XP Ronde d’Or watch with a hand-engraved transparent case-back, secured with 4 gold screws. Also fitted with a sapphire crystal, it enables the watch owner to admire a patented self-winding XP 1-minute Tourbillon movement, entirely executed in the brand’s workshops. The Tourbillon cage proudly exposes a custom-made hand engraving.
Elaborately decorated by hand, the mechanism incorporates an engraved bi-colored solid 18K gold rotor. It is also equipped with a silicium escape wheel and a lever. The movement oscillates at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It serves to animate the functions of hours, minutes and small seconds, indicated at 6 o’clock.
The watch is mounted on a personalized hand-stitched alligator leather strap, finished with an 18K gold folding buckle. It handles depths of up to 30 meters.
The new Ateliers de Monaco watch comes in a single limited series of 18 pieces.
