New Corum Golden Bridge Tourbillon Panoramique Watch - Airy Beauty

Dec 13, 2012
Corum pleases the world of exclusive watchmaking by its new Golden Bridge Tourbillon Panoramique watch. The novelty paralyzes the glance by Manufacture Corum Caliber CO100 that boasts 360° visibility and seems to be suspended weightless at the center of the case with help of a sapphire mainplate and bridges.

The delicately open-worked baguette-type movement incorporates a “flying” tourbillon that is “levitating” above the movement, with its toothed wheels and gears, as though inspired by snowflakes.

The hand-wound Caliber CO100, housed within an extremely elegant tonneau-shaped case, demonstrates sapphire mainplate and bridges that form a transparent hand-polished framework offering amazing 360° visibility.

The 22-ruby movement, a true masterpiece of watchmaking mastery, is operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 90-hour power reserve. Its flying tourbillon has no upper fastening point. Embellished with a finely engraved Corum key, the tourbillon is held to the sapphire mainplate by its base alone.

Caliber CO100 also boasts one of the smallest time-setting systems ever created. The screws are directly fixed to the hand-polished sapphire parts, reflecting great mastery of the brand’s watchmakers, especially when you consider the delicate nature of sapphire.

The hours and minutes are indicated by skeleton baton red gold-coated hands.

The new Corum Golden Bridge Tourbillon Panoramique watch has been created in three limited edition variations:

  • ten pieces with an 18K red gold case;

  • five pieces with a baguette-set 18K red gold case;

  • five pieces with an 18K red gold case decorated with round diamonds.

Every variation of the new Corum watch comes with two hand-sewn crocodile leather straps – one black, the other brown. The straps are fitted with an 18K red gold triple folding clasp engraved with the Corum logo.

The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.
