New Glycine Combat 6 Watches Lets Tell Time Elegantly

Sep 15, 2009
The famous Swiss watchmaker Glycine is proud to unveil its new products from the sixth generation of the Combat series a novel self-winding watch, Combat 6 Automatic, reference 3890, and a hand-wound watch, Combat 6 Manual, reference 3894.

The two timekeepers offer an exclusive function of telling the time in a graceful and hasteless manner.

Two latest timepieces, manufactured by Glycine Watch SA, represent time-only watches: they do not include extra functions, distracting no attention from the models main purpose of showing the time.

The austere conventional design features its character cast in a military style, which hearkens back to 1940s and 1950s.

Similar to all Glycine watches, the new models, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, provide eminently readable functions due to Superluminova compound the hands, index or numerals are coated with. The latter is a particular highlight of the Combat timekeeping companions.

Simple and functional, the self-winding and hand-wound Glycine Combat watches feature the peculiar details, which take the Combat 6 line design to new frontiers. These hallmarks are the see-through case back or the orange colored 24 featured by the index variation.

The watches demonstrate a curved dial and mineral glasses. Domed inside and outside, the mineral glass enabled the specialists to develop the case design very ergonomically.

The Combat 6, measuring 43 mm in diameter, is a true delight for any wearer.

The Combat 6 Manual watch, Reference 3894, is powered by the hand-wound Eta movement 2801-2. Its functionality includes hour display, minute display and central seconds.

The watch provides up to 50-meter water-resistance. The model comes either with a leather strap or with a steel bracelet.

The Combat 6 Automatic watch, Reference 3890, is animated by the self-winding Eta movement 2824-2. It offers the functions of hours display, minutes display, central seconds, as well as the date at 3 oclock position.

The watch boasts up to 50-meter water-resistance. Fitting this model is either a leather strap or a steel bracelet.
