New Glashutte Original Sport Evolution - Chronograph and Tourbillon Watches

The Glashutte Original Sport Evolution watch collection welcomes new Sport Evolution Impact models - Sport Evolution Impact Chronograph and Sport Evolution Impact Tourbillon, the latter in a limited edition of 100 pieces. The watches are equipped with the movements providing supreme reliability and accuracy as they are protected by an innovative shock absorption system.

The new timepieces are great timekeeping companions for those who opt for active lifestyle and go in for sports as they are developed to guarantee most reliable timekeeping even under extreme conditions.

Glashutte Original has cooperated with the Fraunhofer technology development group located in Stuttgart. Together they have developed an innovative material used as the basis of four cushioning elements. The material represents flexible Elastomer. The four cushioning elements act as the fixation points of the movement and dial, representing the connection with the watch case. They absorb up to 60 per cent of the impact forces caused by shocks and other outside influences.

The cases of the new Glashutte Original watches are sculptured in stainless steel with brushed and polished finishes and measure 46 mm in diameter.

The Sport Evolution Impact Chronograph is a powerfully sporty watch.

The black dial is highlighted by red contrasting elements. The dial is completed with baton-shaped markers and the hands that are SuperLumiNova-coated to guarantee perfect legibility, even under reduced light conditions. The perimeter of the dial features red seconds numerals.

The tachymeter-bezel is clearly arranged. The timepiece is 100-meter water-resistant.

The Glashutte Original watch accommodates an automatic manufacture movement - Caliber 39-31, highly appreciated for its precision and reliability. The concave sapphire crystal case back comfortably fits the wrist of the watch wearer.

The transparent case back allows to admire such movement details as the skeletonized rotor, the swan-neck fine adjustment, and three-quarter plate.

The Sport Evolution Impact Tourbillon is a robustly designed timekeeper demonstrating the traditional watchmaking complication. The timepiece is equipped with an automatic Caliber 94. The movement guarantees a remarkably precise time display due to the Flying Tourbillon, with the balance, pallets, and escape wheel put in a cantilevered carriage. The carriage performs one 360-degree revolution each minute, thus compensating for the gravity effects on the watch’s rate.

The date function is clearly presented at the black background at 12 o’clock. The dial is completed with polished silver hour markers coated with SuperLumiNova, as well as hour and minute hands, for enhanced legibility. The small seconds hand is positioned right on the tourbillon cage.

The four-link bracelet is designed to provide supreme comfort on the wrist. It is absolutely easy to adjust the length of the bracelet with help of Glashutte Original patented, innovative closing and adjusting mechanism. The integrated double G logo is used as the clasp’s button, as well as the activator for the adjustment mechanism. It can be comfortably adjusted a total of eight millimeters in eight steps.

The elements are screwed to one another and are really stable. The double security mechanism, featuring two buttons on either side, does not allow an accidental clasp opening.
