Designed in the vintage style of the sixties, the new Glashutte Original watch employs a cushion-shaped rose-gold case. Its front side is shielded by a glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal.
The sapphire glass, used for the case-back, permits an appreciation of fascinating details of an exquisitely finished automatic caliber 94-12 movement. It supplies a 48-hour power reserve.
Integrated within the mechanism is an off-centered rotor with a 21-carat oscillating weight. It also incorporates a three-quarter plate with Glashutte ribbing, blued screws, bevelled edges and a winding wheel with a sunburst embellishment.
The caliber is enriched with a Flying Tourbillon device, which can be admired in the opening at 6 o’clock. The cage, which accomplishes one rotation per minute, also serves as a small seconds indicator. The Flying Tourbillon mechanism is counterbalanced by a date aperture at 12 o’clock.
The matt silver dial of the new Glashutte Original Sixties Square Tourbillon watch also features rose-gold hour and minute hands as well as black Arabic numerals and rose-gold hour indexes.
Offered in a limited edition of 50 pieces, the new Glashutte Original watch is worn on a black leather strap.
