The movement is an up-to-date interpretation of the calibre Constant Girard-Perregaux, which experienced its world premiere and took the gold at the Paris Universal Exhibition held in 1889. On November 22, the Eurosport channel retransmitted in live the final of the poker tournament, the Partouche Poker Tour, which was held at the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes, France.

In the course of the game, the French player Jean-Paul Pasqualini exposed on his wrist the Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon watch from Girard-Perregaux. Eventually the Frenchman became the winner of the tournament and was awarded a cheque for 1.000.000 Euro.

The celebrated Swiss watch-making house Girard-Perregaux, an avid supporter of classical music and other performance arts, happened to be a partner of the Moritzburg Festival, which was held within a period of two weeks in Dresden, Germany. The Moritzburg Festival takes place every summer. The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph USA Exclusive watch features a brushed 18K pink gold case measuring 46mm in diameter. The watch is based on an original combination of contrasting materials. The luxurious gold of the case is united with the sporty rubber coated bezel, winding crown and chronograph push-pieces. The carbon fiber dial is completed with contrasting rose chronograph sub-dials and colorful touches of red and yellow. The dial is protected by curved scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The timepiece is 100-meter water-resistant.

The new Girard-Perregaux Laureato watch features a 24-hour indication and pointer date display and 12-hour and 30-minute counters for the chronograph. The functions are provided by the self-winding GP033C0 caliber.
