Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Lady Watch - Glamorous and Functional

Jan 20, 2011
The Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux seduces female audience with a new interpretation of the Vintage 1945 Lady watch.

Classic yet subtlety unique, the new Girard-Perregaux watch combines timeless elegance and modernity to match the dressy occasions. Created to make the life brighter, it is offered in an alluring pink gold case.

Its measurements are 34.00 x 23.30 mm. At 3 o’clock, the body of the timepiece reveals a gem-set winding crown. The case construction is 30-meter water-resistant.

Inspired by the Art Deco-style timekeeper, originally introduced in 1945, the model in question boasts a rectangular shape. Delicately curved, it gently embraces the feminine wrist. The case is joined to a white alligator leather strap, finalized by a pin buckle.

The case of the new Vintage 1945 Lady watch is topped by a graceful bezel, which presents a shimmering play of 70 diamonds.

The total weight of the jewels constitutes 0.70 carats. The bezel safely holds a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The back part of the body also features the sapphire glass, secured with 4 screws.

The case is complimented by a panoramic dial, embellished with a subtle sunray pattern. The display comprises two scintillating diamonds, acting as hour-markers at 3 and 9 o’clock. The artistically designed Arabic numerals are found at 6 and 12 o’clock. Gliding smoothly over them are central hour and minutes hands, crafted from pink gold.

The seconds are indicated in a counter at 9 o’clock. A date aperture, positioned at 3 o’clock, ensures the dial layout is finely balanced. The final touch is provided by the brand’s name, placed beneath the numeral at 12 o’clock.

Giving life to the functions mentioned is the brand’s proprietary automatic mechanical GP2790 movement. It incorporates 35 jewels. The mechanism runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies 36-hour power reserve.

The new Girard-Perregaux lady’s watch is issued in limited and numbered edition of just 50 pieces.
