The Franc Vila Cobra collection comprises watches featuring the signature elliptical Esprit Unique case design. The case reveals a smart combination of materials, finishes and textures. The case construction is provided with protective carbon fiber inserts and boasts 300-meter water- resistance. The case-body is sculptured in DieHard Extreme steel or 18K red gold.
The bezel is worth special attention – it demonstrates a vertically grained brushed pattern and polished bevels sloping inwards to the watch dial. The bezel is produced from steel, or 18K gold and polished carbon fiber.
The carbon fiber dial is adorned with a guilloche pattern in the center, and skeleton hands that are polished or brightly colored. The chronograph 12-hour sub-dial is positioned at 6 o’clock, while the 30-minute sub-dial is found at 9 o’clock. The chronograph seconds are indicated by a central hand. The small seconds counter is positioned at 3 o’clock.
The chronograph sub-dials of the 18K red gold version features mother-of-pearl appliques. The date function is presented via a large double-window at 12 o'clock. The dial is shielded by a sapphire crystal with double-side anti-glare treatment.
The new Franc Vila watch accommodates the modular FV8Ch caliber. The complicated self-winding movement is embellished with fine decorations and incorporates an elaborate "Gold Concept" central rotor. The sapphire crystal window in the case-back allows to drop a glance at the movement. The balance frequency is 28,800 vibrations per hour. The chronograph function allows to record independent elapsed time intervals to within 1/8th second. The movement gives an advantage of 42 hours of power reserve.
The Franc Vila FV Evos 8 Cobra Chronograph Large Date watch will be issued in a limited edition of 88 pieces.
The timepiece
is delivered with a textured black rubber strap, and is additionally supplied with a crocodile leather strap. The straps are fitted with deployant buckles crafted from the same material as the case.
