The brand’s first tourbillon model, this novelty employs a round-shaped 18k rose gold case, composed of three parts. The new Frederique Constant watch measures 42m in diameter and is 11mm thick.
Both top and bottom of the case are fitted with anti-reflective sapphire crystals. The front glass is convex. The case-back is secured with 6 screws. Individually numbered, the case handles the depth of up to 3 atm.
The new Frederique Constant Manufacture Tourbillon Grand Feu watch boasts a genuine enameled dial. It is completed with black Roman numerals, black steel hour and minute hands as well as a rose gold and blued steel day-night indicator.
A special attention getter of the display is a one-minute tourbillon mechanism, revealed in an opening at 6 o’clock. The device also serves as a seconds indicator.
The tourbillon is connected to an automatic calibre FC-980 movement. It is composed of 188 individual parts, including 33 jewels. The caliber incorporates bridges, embellished with Cotes de Geneve and perlage. It also utilizes a Nivarox 1 spring and a Glucydur balance wheel.
Individually numbered, the movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 48-hour power reserve.
The new Frederique Constant watch is worn on an alligator leather strap with a water-resistant lining. It is fastened to the wearer’s wrist by a folding buckle.
The model is offered in a limited edition of 188 pieces.
