The innovative nature of the Franc Vila watch is proven by the fact that it accommodates the first ever movement with a chronograph with its entire mechanism found on the dial-side. The chronograph mechanism reveals the column wheel at 12 o'clock. It incorporates a mono-pusher function with direct coupling on the tourbillon cage.
The FV Nº Cuatro caliber comprises 262 components. The 33-ruby mechanism provides a 5-day power reserve (implying 120 hours of precision timekeeping).
The flying tourbillon boasts an inertial moment control mechanism and wheel differential system. Instead of being supported by a bridge, or cock, at the top and bottom, the tourbillon is cantilevered - it is supported just from one side.
The case of the FVa Cuatro 5-Day Tourbillon Chronograph catches the glance by its 'Esprit Unique' shape and an elliptical and circular bezel. The chronograph mono-pusher is found at 2 o'clock.
The sophisticated dial of the watch features the seconds at 2 o'clock, minutes at 10 o'clock, and the power reserve indication at 9 o'clock.
The case construction has a sapphire crystal and case-back provided with double sided anti-glare treatment. It is 100-meter water-resistant.
The chronograph watch goes on a crocodile or a rubber strap fitted with a deployant clasp.
The timepiece is available with the case crafted from different materials - DieHard Extreme Steel (DHES), black DHES, 18K red or white gold, titanium and DHES or red or white gold.
