The competitive timepiece market welcomes the new Fortis B-47 Calculator watch, issued in a limited edition of 2012 pieces.
The new Fortis watch strikes the eye with its busy, yet balanced dial. Equipped with white Superluminova-inlaid Arabic numerals and indices, it indicates central hours, minutes and stop-seconds. The watch face also provides a date indication at 4 o’clock and a GMT 3 Time Zones 24-hour display.
Moreover, the timepiece offers a calculator slide-rule function and a 60-minute countdown timer on its bezel. The last-mentioned element is skillfully incorporated into the structure of a 47mm three-part brushed steel case. Its special attention getter is a green afterglow luminous capsule at 12 o’clock position. The case features two winding crowns, embossed with the brand’s logo.
The top of the new Fortis B-47 Calculator watch is shielded by a sapphire crystal with glare-proofed treatment on both sides. Its screw-down steel case-back is struck with engraving of a temperature conversion table from C° (Celsius) into F° (Fahrenheit). The model is submersible to 200 meters.
Hidden inside the case is a Swiss made automatic ETA 2893-2 movement. Set with 21 jewels, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The caliber is endowed with an Incabloc shock absorber.
The final touch is provided by a brushed steel bracelet. Alternatively, the new Fortis watch can be mounted on a leather, rubber or silicone strap in white, black or orange.
