Roger Dubuis Creates Excalibur Minute Repeater in Rose Gold

Mar 07, 2010
The watch company Roger Dubuis has recently released a new addition to its famous Excalibur line. The most delicate of the brands complications, the Excalibur minute repeater, is available with a spectacular case, decked out in rose gold.

The new Roger Dubuis watch is designed around a complex mechanical movement, equipped with a platinum double micro-rotor self-winding system. Paved with 42 jewels and graced with unequalled Poincon de Geneve finishing, the movement runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It provides a 60-hour power reserve.

The enchanting details of this mechanism can be admired via an openworked dial. The dial is highlighted by the tourbillon cage, located at 5 oclock. It is circled by a rose gold ring enclosed by stylistic grey lines. The particular depth of the dial is attainable due to a double flange with a minute circle and rose gold appliques performed in black and grey correspondingly.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur RD08 watch is mounted on a hand-sewn alligator leather strap, finished with a rose gold folding clasp. The Excalibur watch has been issued in limited edition of 28 pieces. Its water-resistance is down to 1 bar.
