Roger Dubuis Excalibur Chronograph in Modern Spirit

Aug 25, 2010
Roger Dubuis has modernized its iconic Excalibur collection. Now, the collections members demonstrate more dynamic, deeper fluting on the bezel. The crown-guard is now more streamlined and more closely merged with the middle of the case.

The dial has acquired extra depth due to the ingenious effect of a double flange around it.

One of the brightest stars of the collection is the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Chronograph watch. The timepiece is animated by an in-house automatic chronograph with micro-rotor movement - RD78, a 36-jewel mechanism built from 303 parts, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The double-pusher column-wheel chronograph gives an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve. The micro-rotor is crafted in a tungsten alloy. The supreme accuracy and finishing of the movement have been approved by prestigious Poincon de Geneve certification.

The case of the watch measures 45 mm in diameter and is sculptured from stainless steel. The silky black dial with touches of yellow is completed with oversized transferred Roman numerals in white, while the counters at 3 and 9 o'clock are completed with transferred Arabic numerals, also in white.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Chronograph watch is coupled with a hand-stitched alligator strap equipped with adjustable steel folding buckle.

The Roger Dubuis watch is 50-meter water-resistant. It will be available in a limited edition of 280 pieces.
