Sep 21, 2011
The Italian brand Ermenegildo Zegna, famous for men’s clothes, shoes and perfumery, has released its new Monterubello Solo Tempo and Monterubello Chronograph watches. Both models are designed in classical style.

The new Ermenegildo Zegna Monterubello Solo Tempo watch is delivered in a round-shaped 38mm case, crafted from 18ct rose or white gold. Its front side is protected by a high-grade sapphire crystal with anti-glare treatment. The same glass is used for the case-back. The model provides 30-meter water-resistance.

Enclosed in the case is a white dial. Equipped with applied gold Arabic numerals, it ensures central hours, minutes, seconds and date, arranged at 3 o’clock. The hour and minutes hands are made of gold, the seconds hand is blued.

The display of the new Ermenegildo Zegna watch is controlled by a Swiss-made automatic Girard-Perregaux GP03300-0030 movement, built on 37 jewels. It runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and allows for a 46-hour power reserve.

Keeping the model secured to the wearer’s wrist is a black leather strap.

The new Ermenegildo Zegna Monterubello Chronograph watch employs an 18ct rose gold case, which measures 40mm in diameter. Both top and bottom of the case are fitted with glare-proofed sapphire crystals. The model is submersible to 30 meters.

The case is complimented by a white dial with applied gold Arabic numerals. It indicates central hours and minutes by means of gold hands. The small seconds appear in a counter at 3 o’clock.

Set within the dial are also 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, located at 9 and 6 o’clock respectively. The chronograph function is also assured through a central seconds hand. The date is shown in an aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. The hands of the sub-dials are blued.

Giving life to the functions is a Swiss-made automatic Girard-Perregaux GP03300-0032 movement. Paved with 63 jewels, it oscillates at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 48-hour power reserve.

The Ermenegildo Zegna watch is worn on a brown leather strap.
