Feb 05, 2010
Next month, at Baselworld 2010, the famous horological company Ulysse Nardin will surprise the world of watchmaking by its novel product, called El Toro. Manufactured in harmony with the brands noblest traditions, the watch represents a perfect union of the Moonstruck case and the renowned perpetual calendar movement.

Noble, masculine and daring in all its inventiveness, the new Ulysse Nardin watch is characterized by several distinctive features. Equipped with an extraordinary fast-action time-zone system, the watch also offers a permanent display of the original time, forward and backward adjustment of all the date indicators, as well as the synchronized adjustment of these functions with help of the hour hand.

The El Toro watch has been launched as a limited series of 500 pieces.

Inside the novel Ulysse Nardin watch there beats a self-winding COSC-certified chronometer movement - UN-32 calibre. Embellished with 34 jewels, it incorporates a white gold rotor and boasts a 45-hour power reserve.

The sophisticated movement provides the following functions: hours, minutes, seconds, second time zone, perpetual calendar, oversized date, day, month and year.

All the technical elements of the watch are enclosed in a 43 mm case, crafted either from 18K red gold or platinum. It is distinguished by ceramic push-pieces and bezel. The case is fitted with anti-glare sapphire crystals both on the dial side and the case-back. The watch demonstrates a black dial, outfitted with skeleton hands.

The Ulysse Nardin El Toro watch is accompanied either by a rubber or leather strap, fitted with a titanium or ceramic folding clasp. Alternatively, it can be presented on a crocodile strap with a red gold or platinum folding clasp. The watch, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, boasts 100-meter water-resistant.
