Citizen Launches Eco-Drive DOME Watch

Jun 07, 2010
In June, Citizen is proud to unveil its Eco-Drive DOME watch. Last year the brand presented this timepiece as a concept model. Now, the exclusive watch will be available in a limited number of 500 pieces.

The case of the new Citizen watch houses the Eco-Drive engine, reflecting the brands unique concept of light energy.

The Eco-Drive DOME watch features a dome-like layered dial. Emitting futuristic sparkles, the dial allows the watch to absorb light to power the movement.

The Citizen watch has been created in two versions with a 49mm titanium case provided with white coating or DLC coating.

The first version demonstrates the brands unique pearl coating produced from sustainable ingredients and attained due to a five-layer multi-coating for perfect wear-resistance. The second version features the titanium case treated with the brands proprietary Multiway Polish to come up with different expressions at every angle. After that it is provided with wear-proof DLC coating.

The Citizen Eco-Drive DOME watch also strikes by its remarkable functionality. This is a radio-controlled watch that receives standard-time radio signals from USA, Germany, China, and Japan. The timepiece is also equipped with the World Time function for 26 Cities. Besides, it offers the chronograph, alarm and power reserve indicator functions.

The timepiece is 100-meter water-resistant.
