Certina Reveals DS Podium Valjoux Watch

Apr 15, 2010
The new DS Podium Valjoux watch from Certina represents a subtle meeting of timeless classic and modern sport-chic. Carefully thought out down to the last detail, this remarkable creation stands out due to its matchless exactitude, extraordinary durability and unrivalled shock-resistance. It also catches the eye by its flat and beveled surfaces, as well as its sub-dials, which overlap large numerals and hour-markers.

The novel Certina watch is powered by a self-winding ETA Valjoux 7750 movement. It brings to life the basic functions of hours, minutes and seconds, complimented by those of day, date, chronograph and tachometer.

The entire mechanism is housed in a 316L stainless steel case, which measures 42 mm in diameter. On the front side the case is protected by a glareproofed sapphire crystal. The Certina watch has been also fitted with a transparent back.

The DS Podium Valjoux watch boasts an attractive dial performed in silver or black. It is equipped with hour dots on the flange and hands, treated with a luminous compound. Set within the dial are the hour, minute and small seconds counters, positioned at 6, 12 and 9 oclock correspondingly. They are kept company by the day and date exhibition windows located at 3 oclock.

The marvelous Certina DS Podium Valjoux watch is teamed with a black or brown leather strap or steel bracelet, closed with a safety folding clasp. The timepiece is submersible to 100 meters.
