DeWitt Academia Seconde Retrograde Serenity

Apr 08, 2009
DeWitt has created a new timepiece reflecting the brands rich heritage and daring approach to watchmaking. The Academia Seconde Retrograde Serenity demonstrates resolutely masculine lines and dimensions, along with supreme aesthetic elegance.

The limited edition timepiece is created for lovers of exceptional mechanisms and extreme design.

The powerful, angular case of the new DeWitt watch is crafted from rose or white gold and measures 43mm in diameter.

The elegant black dial of the Academia Seconde Retrograde Serenity is adorned with sunburst guilloche motif. The dial presents the retrograde seconds on an original white gold fan-shaped display. Its middle part is embellished with a "car radiator grill" openworked decor.

The DeWitt watch, reviewed by watches.infoniac.com, is animated by an exceptional mechanical self-winding movement, beating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour. The Calibre DW1002 movement provides a 42-hour power reserve.

The DeWitt Academia Seconde Retrograde Serenity watch reveals exquisitely meticulous finishing and care lavished on each and every detail.

The timepiece is secured to the wrist on an alligator leather strap fitted with a folding clasp in rose or white gold. The timepiece
is 30-metre water-resistant.
