Movado Presents New Datron Automatic Chronograph Watches

Apr 04, 2011
The fresh interpretation of the Datron watch collection was presented by the brand at Baselworld 2009. It was based on the classic 1970 Movado Datron self-winding chronograph watch.

This year, the brand is pleased to unveil three new special edition models of the Datron Automatic Chronograph. Each variation demonstrates a refined 40mm tonneau case. It incorporates two polished chronograph pushers and is sculptured in smooth and satin-finished 18K rose gold.

The face of the new Movado watches is shielded by a curved sapphire crystal. The two-tone dial is presented in black or anthracite grey completed with lighter silver soleil counters, or in silver soleil with darker anthracite grey counters. The time is shown with help of thin rose gold-toned hands, applied hour markers and a printed minute index. You will notice a round date aperture at 12 oclock, a hint at the brands signature Museum dot.

The Movado Datron Automatic Chronograph watches are animated by a 37-jewel Swiss automatic movement that gives an advantage of a 42-hour reserve power. Watch lovers may admire the heart of the timepieces via a sapphire crystal exhibition case-back.

The Movado watches are secured to the wrist on a gleaming black alligator leather strap fitted with a polished 18K rose gold buckle. Each variation is 50-meter water resistant.
