Another focal point of the new Corum watch is a hand-wound mechanical CO 022 baguette movement. Suspended by its cross-bars, it seems to be floating in the center of the tonneau-shaped case. Linked to the mechanism is a flying tourbillon. Due to the absence of an upper bridge, it appears to be levitating above the movement.
The caliber incorporates a plate and bridges, made of ARCAP as well as an intermediate and ratchet wheel with a sun-brushed finish. Integrated within the movement are also
two red gold 5N coated barrels with the same finish.
The barrels ensure a 72-hour power reserve. Built on 21 jewels, the caliber runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It animates the functions of hours and minutes, indicated by Superluminova-inlaid red gold 5N-coated baton hands.
The heart of the new Corum Ti-Bridge Tourbillon Pave watch is beating inside a 52.3mm x 42.5 mm 18kt red gold 5N case. Its top is armed with a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The case is equipped with a fluted 18kt red gold 5N crown with satin and polished finishes. The crown is embossed with the Corum key.
The model also features a 6-screw satin-finished case-back, engraved with the brand’s logo. The case-back is open under the movement. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 30 meters.
Adding a final note of harmony is a black hand-stitched crocodile leather strap. It joins to a triple folding clasp with opening and fastening system, which utilizes two pushers. The clasp features a 18kt red gold cover, marked with the Corum logo.
The new Corum watch is offered in a limited edition of 25 pieces.
