The new Corum watch is executed in a 48mm twelve-sided titanium case. The same material is used for the winding crown at 3 o’clock, engraved with the Corum key. The crown protection is made of black vulcanized rubber. So is the model’s bezel.
The timepiece features a top cambered twelve-sided sapphire crystal with glare-proofed treatment. The sapphire glass is also used for the screwed case-back. The model is marked with the name of each team member, “Trophee Jules Verne 2012” and “Maxi Banque Populaire V” engravings. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 100 meters.
The new Corum Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Chrono Centro Special Edition Trophee Jules Verne watch comes equipped with à black dial, embellished with a Clous-de-Paris motif. It is completed with minute numerals and chevrons. The fitted flange, meanwhile, reveals 12 monochrome nautical pennants, serving as hour-markers.
The display provides central hours and minutes, indicated by facetted hands with black Superluminova. They are joined by minute and seconds chronograph hands. The minute hand is applied with yellow Superluminova substance. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 9 o’clock. It is counterbalanced by a date aperture at 3 o'clock.
Driving the functions is a self-winding COSC-certified CO960 chronograph movement, inlaid with a special Corum finish. Built on 27 jewels, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies a 42-hour power reserve. The caliber incorporates an oscillating weight, featuring a black PVD treatment and the brand’s name.
The new Corum watch is accompanied by a yellow-stitched black leather strap with a textile look. It joins to a buckle, engraved with the Corum logo.
