Concord Unveils C1 MecaTech Watch at Baselworld 2010
At Baselworld 2010, Concord has unveiled its new bold timepiece - the C1 MecaTech chronograph watch. The new Concord watch demonstrates solid construction and a meticulously elaborated powerful design. The timepiece has been created according the stringent demands of the brand.

The Concord C1 MecaTech features a 44mm case crafted in successful combination of stainless steel with PVD-treatment and 18K rose gold. The creators of the watch used gold to soften its look and draw attention to some of the distinctive features of the case construction, including the protective details on the glass, chronograph pushers and crown. The bezel is fitted with 8 black rubber protections. The Concord watch is 200-meter water-resistant.

The face of the timepiece is shielded by a 3.3mm-thick glareproofed sapphire crystal. It will catch you glance by its gridwork pattern that overlaps the chronograph sub-dials positioned at 12 and 6 o'clock. The case was placed in a vibrating drum containing deburring chips, water and a detergent compound, having come through intensive friction and rotation. The surface became subtly eroded and shotblasted and acquired an authentic matt-type finish. read more

In 2008, the world of watchmaking witnessed the appearance of the C1 Tourbillon Gravity watch that marked the beginning of a new watchmaking era of remarkable innovations.

This year, the boundaries of mechanical watchmaking have been pushed even further: the C Lab Series has designed and developed a new breakthrough - the C1 QuantumGravity. The watch, relevant to the field of extreme watchmaking, is a symbol of unrestricted and unconstrained time, with just impulse and intuition prevailing.

The C1 QuantumGravity watch fires imagination by every aspect of its sophisticated outside and inside construction:
- an aerial bi-axial tourbillon mechanism,
- a vertical power reserve,
- individualist seconds,
- a stripped-down dial
- spectacular volumes.

The process of creation the C1 QuantumGravity watchmaking wonder started in the autumn of 2008. The timepiece was born following a 5-month incubation period, due to the will and stream of energy of a great team. BNB Concept was entrusted with the movement of the watch, while Studio Bellon worked on the design.

The C1 QuantumGravity watch accommodates a mechanical manually wound movement - Caliber Concord C104. The movement, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, provides a 3-day power reserve. Besides hours and minutes, the timepiece features roll of seconds external to the case, a vertical power-reserve indicator and a bi-axial tourbillon.

The titanium case, 48.5mm in diameter and 22 mm in depth, incorportes white gold elements. It also incorporates 5 sapphire crystals and a transparent see-through officer-style hinged case back.

The entire breathtaking construction is coupled with a black vulcanized rubber strap fixed to the case with help of 4 screws.

At Baselworld 2011, Concord presented its new timepiece - the C2 Chronograph watch that has maintained the trademark features of the brand, yet demonstrates its own distinctive identity.

The 43mm case of the Concord C2 watch is sculptured in stainless steel with black PVD coating. If compared to the C1 case, it is much thinner- 12.75 mm in depth. Fitted with a screw-in case-back, the case-construction is 100-meter water-resistant.

It accommodates an ETA Caliber 2894-2, a 37-jewel mechanical automatic movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 42-hour power-reserve. It animates the following functions - hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph.
