Coinwatch C119 Timepiece - Figurehead of Mark Collection

Feb 15, 2011
This year, the Swiss horological company Coinwatch has launched its eye-pleasing Mark collection. The figurehead of the line is the new C119 men’s watch, which offers a blend of highly accomplished aesthetic design and unrivaled functionality. The appealing watch will be officially presented within the framework of the upcoming Baselworld fair.

The word “Mark”, included into the collection’s name, stems from that of the former German official currency, a symbol of wellbeing.

The point is that, in the period of 1970-1980s, Germany led the development of science and technology as well as economy in the entire Europe. Therefore, the mark was widely used in the whole area.

The new Coinwatch watch is issued in five versions, endowed with a contemporary design. Measuring 43 mm in diameter, each timepiece is crafted from stainless steel. The case can boast a rose gold, yellow gold or black PVD treatment.

The watch body carries a black PVD-treated bezel, skillfully embellished with 6 contrasting screws. The bezel securely holds a high-grade sapphire crystal. The same glass is employed in manufacturing of the case-back. The watch is built to be water-resistant up to 100 meter. It is attainable due to a screwed-down time-setting crown, conventionally placed at 3 o’clock.

The new C119 watch exposes a clearly laid-out dial, dressed in black or silver. Distinguished by a two-layered design, it demonstrates a refined grid pattern.

The display comprises Arabic numerals and intermediate hour-markers. All the indexes are polished and rose gold-plated.

The dial is swept over by broad lume-applied hour and minutes hands. Taking care of seconds is a slim red seconds hand. The date indication is presented in an aperture at 3 o’clock.

The aforementioned array of useful functions is driven by an automatic ETA2824 calibre movement. Engraved with the brand’s logo, it can be viewed through a transparent case-back.

Strikingly masculine, the new Coinwatch watch is coupled with a stainless steel bracelet with a yellow gold or rose gold PVD treatment. It is finalized by a double safety folded buckle. The watch can be also accessorized with a rubber strap, finished with a wire buckle.
