The horological company Codex has brought forth its new Identity Venus watch. The novelty is executed in two variants - the Master version issued in a limited series of 100 pieces and the Prestige interpretation, restricted to 75 pieces.
A blend of state-of-the-industry technology and aesthetic appeal, each new Codex watch comes packaged in a 44 mm 18-carat rose gold case. Its height is 14.65 mm. The case features screwed-in rose-gold lateral bumpers. The Prestige version sports the bumpers, enhanced with 431 diamonds. The overall weight of jewels comes to 1 carat.
The case architecture incorporates a fixed bezel fitted with hand-applied inserts. The bezel securely holds a sapphire crystal with double glare-proofed coating.
The same glass is used for a screwed-in case back. The timepiece is endowed with a crown with 2 O-rings and 3 correcting push buttons. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 50 meters.
Housed in the case is a back laser-cut skeleton dial. It reveals faceted rose gold-plated hands with Superluminova inserts. The dial of the new Codex Identity Venus watch indicates central hours and minutes. Additionally, it offers a calendar function. The date is read off from the third central hand and Arabic numerals, arrayed on the extremity of the watch face.
The day and month indications are shown in the exhibition windows inside a counter at 12 o’clock. It is counterbalanced by a moon-phase indicator allied with a small seconds hand.
The display is controlled by a hand-winding mechanical movement - Vintage Venus (1950-1960) caliber 203. It is paved with 11 jewels and embellished with a handmade guilloche pattern. The mechanism runs at the rate of 18.000 vibrations per hour and provides a 38-hour power reserve.
The new Codex watch is coupled with a black handmade alligator leather strap. It terminates in a rose gold-plated butterfly folding buckle with 2 side pushers.
