Oct 13, 2011
The house of Codex has delivered its new Identity Chrono Moonphase watch.

The company’s latest brainchild is set in a 44mm round-shaped 18k rose gold case. It is 50-meter water-resistant. The new Codex watch is offset by an impressive bezel, marked with hour graduation. Its top is protected by a high-grade sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for the bottom.

Ticking inside the case is a Swiss made automatic ETA Valjoux 7751 movement. It animates an array of functions, presented on a brown dial with gold inserts and hands with luminous compound.

The display of the new Codex Identity Chrono Moonphase watch indicates central hours and minutes. The small seconds are shown in a counter at 9 o’clock. It is counterbalanced by a moon-phase indicator at 3 o’clock.

The chronograph functionality is assured through a 30-minute totalizer at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock as well as a central seconds hand. The date indication can be read off from the fourth central hand and Arabic numerals arranged on the flange.

The new Codex watch is mounted on a brown alligator leather strap.
