Baume Mercier to Reveal Classima Executives XL Chronograph and Complete Calendar

Dec 21, 2009
In 2010, the Baume & Mercier Classima Executives Collection will be joined by a new exceptional timepiece – the Classima Executives XL Chronograph and Complete Calendar. The timepiece strikes by its refinement and functionality.

The watch provides a wide range of functions – the chronograph and the day, date, month and moon phase functions united into the brand’s “Complete Calendar”. As this is not a perpetual calendar model, the timepiece requires the date adjustment for the months not having 31 days.

The new Baume & Mercier watch accommodates a high-end mechanical automatic movement (ETA 7751). The sapphire crystal case-back allows to see the beauty of an oscillating weight decorated with Cotes-de-Geneve, circular-grained bridges and blued steel screws.

The silvery dial is embellished with a “grain d’orge” guilloche pattern. Its exquisite look is further enhanced with circular-snailed and sun satin-finished counters. The date function is presented via a central hand in 18K red gold, while the day and month are presented via a window at 12 o’clock. You will notice the moon phases at 6 o’clock and a 24-hour indicator at 9 o’clock. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal.

The case of the Baume & Mercier Classima Executives XL Chronograph and Complete Calendar, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, is crafted in polished steel and measures 42mm in diameter.

The crown displays the brand’s signature Phi symbol. The case is coupled with a black alligator leather strap equipped with an adjustable triple folding buckle. The timepiece guarantees 30-meter water-resistance.
