Meet Cimier Spirit of Baar Watch

Feb 11, 2011
The watch brand Cimier is pleased to introduce a new series of appealing timepieces, poetically christened Spirit of Baar. It pays homage to a small town of Baar, located at the heart of the Canton Zug. It is the very place the company opted for setting up its headquarters eight years ago.

Sophisticated and functional, the new Cimier watch comes packaged in a 316L stainless steel case, which demonstrates a polished and satin-brushed surface. Its measurements are 51 mm x 42 mm. The case is endowed with a protected time setting crown, positioned at 3 o’clock. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 50 meters.

On its front side the case is armed with a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, treated with glare-proofed coating. The new Spirit of Baar watch is also equipped with a see-through case-back, which is slightly domed to comfortably fit the wearer’s wrist. The case-back affords an interesting insight into a self-winding ETA 2836-2 movement.

The aforementioned mechanism drives the functions of hours, minutes and seconds, complimented by those of day and date. They are immediate and clear on a highly readable dial, performed in black, grey or white. It is completed with applied hour-markers, doubled at 12 o’clock. Traveling over them are charismatic hands.

The hour hand is black and white, the hand, pointing to the minutes is white, and that in charge of the seconds is blue and red. The day and date indication is offered in a double exhibition window at 3 o’clock.

The new Cimier watch comes fitted with a hand-stitched black or white crocodile-patterned calfskin leather strap, closed with a steel folding clasp.
